Gareth Pearson

Gareth Pearson lives with his wife, Tracy, in Hermanus, Western Cape, South Africa. He began his career at age 22 with Kohler Packaging, a Johannesburg Stock Exchange–listed company, where he eventually led global exports for the Corrugated Division. He later joined BMi Research, a boutique market research firm, and served as CEO, leading the organization through a period of growth until its acquisition by a publicly listed company.

In recent years, Gareth has focused on work with a higher purpose, including early childhood development, education, human trafficking, and Bible translation. He joined The Word for the World full time in October 2022 and is committed to the stewardship of resources supporting Bible translation projects. Gareth holds a BCom from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Chartered Institute of Secretaries Diploma from Damelin College. He is passionate about developing people, strengthening education, and applying transparency through leadership, strategy, and financial management.
