Urgent Need for Prayer
August 27, 2021

Jesus said, ”Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” -Matthew 5:44 (NIV). Even as we stand together in prayer for the following, we also pray for those who are causing turmoil in these nations, that they, too, may see God and encounter His love.

1. Please pray for the people of Ethiopia, where government forces are in a military struggle with the Tigray Defence Forces in the northern part of the country. The power struggle has resulted in around 10,000 deaths so far, and several of our translators are grieving the loss of some of their friends. Please pray for Ethiopia as the country faces a possible all-out civil war, as well as ongoing starvation from a tragic man-made famine.

2. Our translation team in Myanmar urgently needs your prayers. Gunfire can now be heard between the military and the Peoples Defence Force near where our translators are living. The translators are very worried about their families. Please join us as we hold them before the Father and trust in Him for the safety and well-being of all.

3. The incessant banditry raids and, most recently, the encroachment of the deadly Boko Haram into Niger state has led to the displacement of most people in the communities. Most of them have relocated to safer places. This displacement has led to a reduced number of literacy students and teachers. Please pray for the restoration of peace & order in this region.
