An Appeal to Pray Earnestly
July 2, 2021

“For when two or more come together in Jesus’s name, there He is.” We are all aware of the intense and continued difficulties faced by everyone globally, and now more than ever, we must pray earnestly for one another. As we send you these prayer requests for the work of The Word for the World, we also want to hear from you about how we can pray with and uphold you as well.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6

May you be blessed for being part of the work of Bible translation as you pray with us for the following:

1. We now have the New Testament completed in two more languages in Asia! We praise God for this and pray for those communities that their hearts would be open to being transformed and renewed by the powerful Word of God.

2. Also in Asia, one of our friends reports, “Things here are not good at all. Every day, someone we know is dying.” Would you please pray with us for peace and healing for the communities that have been badly affected by COVID-19?

3. We pray for a special blessing upon the students and lecturers who are still continuing their Diploma in Bible Translation training over long-distance. One student recently reported, “We are so happy to attend the training for the Diploma in Bible Translation. We learned how to create a dictionary…this will be very helpful for us to keep our language alive for the next generation.”
