Not Forgotten in Prayer: A Year of Hope for Eurasia

It is easy to forget Eurasia stands at the center of the biblical narrative. No other region spans as much land or holds as many people. For centuries, caravans crossed plains, empires rose and fell in their strongholds, and religions spread from their cities to the nations.

Picture Eurasia…

From its crossroads of countries, beliefs, languages, and traditions flowed outward, influencing societies far beyond the region’s borders. This land remains pivotal—diverse, complex, and full of spiritual significance.

The Battle for Faith

Yet, in this culturally rich land, Christianity is declining sharply. In Western and Northern Europe—the former Protestant heartlands—secularization empties pews, erodes churches, and leaves generations cut off from Scripture in their own language. Across Eastern Europe and Central Asia, small Christian communities endure through evangelical and house-church movements, even as countless minority groups remain without the Bible in their heart language.

In Eurasia, Christianity grows dynamically—often among the marginalized. Still, countless communities in this region hunger for God’s Word in the language closest to their hearts.

Statistics Say Decline; Scripture Sparks Life

This vast region may appear marked by decline and paradox, but God has not forgotten this land. He continues to fulfill His purpose to seek and save the lost, and the power of His Word in a heart language tells that story best.

Listen to one farmer’s testimony:

“I was cut to the heart when I heard Mark 7:15 in my language, "It is not what is outside that defiles a man, but what comes out of his heart".  I used to judge people quickly based on their appearance, speech, or behavior. I believed that those who looked clean and decent on the outside were the ones who were truly good. But hearing this verse in my language opened my eyes. For the first time, I understood that God doesn’t focus on outward appearance but looks at the heart. That realization made me examine my own life.

This verse marked the beginning of a transformation. I started trying to understand others from the inside, not just by what I saw on the outside. I sought forgiveness from people I had wronged and opened my heart to God so He could cleanse me from within. Hearing Scripture in my language touched me in a way I had never experienced before. The Lord Jesus redirected my life.

Today, my relationship with God has grown deeper, and I am learning to see others with grace and understanding.” – Rural farmer, Eurasia

Indigenous Bible Translators Carry Light Into Darkness

Across Eurasia, indigenous translators are carrying God’s Word into the heart languages of their people. Whether through written texts or oral recordings, the Bible is finding its way into homes, churches, and everyday conversations. Even where cultural pressure or government restrictions try to silence the gospel, the Scriptures continue to spread.

God has not forgotten Eurasia—and neither has His Church.

Eurasia’s story is still being written. Every translated passage, every prayer lifted, carries the hope of Christ into places where faith has grown cold.

Join us in praying that God will strengthen translators, renew the Church, and spark revival across this vast land.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. – Matthew 5:14-16, NIV
