Kobus van Aswegen has served with The Word for the World since 1993, pioneering work in the Horn of Africa and Asia alongside his wife, Janet, and their four sons. With a passion for seeing every community receive God’s Word in their heart language, he is committed to empowering indigenous leaders and local churches in Bible translation. Now serving as International President, his vision is for The Word for the World to play a vital role globally, ensuring Scripture is accessible to all people groups.

As the International President of The Word for the World, Kobus participates as an ex officio member of the International Board.
