Not Forgotten in Prayer: Bible Translators

Imagine—no language group without the Holy Scriptures, no community left behind.

After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. – Revelation 7:9, NIV

This breathtaking promise fuels our resolve: the Body of Christ won’t stop until every person has access to God’s Word in their language.

Your partnership changes everything for the nearly one billion people still waiting for God’s Word in their language.

Generosity fuels impact, but trust in how that gift is managed matters too.

At The Word for the World, we know financial integrity builds confidence for today’s partners and for every community still waiting for Scripture.

Why Financial Integrity Matters

Every gift moves the body of Christ closer to ending Bible poverty. Great Commission generosity goes beyond finances because the giver participates in eternal work.

That’s why we steward each dollar with accountability and purpose

The Word for the World values each believer’s part in Kingdom expansion. Collectively, Christians worship the God of truth, so integrity and transparency are non-negotiable.

How We Uphold Trust

We know trust must be earned, especially when it comes to finances. That’s why we hold ourselves to high standards.

As an ECFA-certified organization, we meet strict requirements for governance and ethical fundraising. Our four-star rating from Charity Navigator reflects our strong financial health, accountability, and transparency.

These standards are set by respected U.S.-based organizations, but they reflect principles of trust and integrity that inspire confidence in supporters around the world. Every dollar is independently audited and clearly reported, because openness honors God—and honors you.

That’s why believers like Joy choose to give.

When Joy sensed God nudging her to support Bible translation, she began with a prayer: “Lord, make me a vessel for Your Kingdom finances.”

As a faithful steward, she researched ministries and realized financial transparency mattered deeply. She discovered The Word for the World on Ministry Watch and saw our A-rating for accountability. That’s when she knew: This is where God wants His money to go.

“All the money belongs to God anyway,” Joy said. “I’m just stewarding what He’s entrusted to me.”

Her joy in giving flows from confidence in both the Great Commission work and the faithful stewardship behind it.

“I want others to know how important it is to support Bible translation through an organization that is financially transparent.”

This kind of confidence grows from shared values. It’s why we hold every gift with purpose and integrity.

Why You Make a Difference

Your gift equips local translators, builds long-term Bible translation capacity, and opens the door for entire communities to engage with Scripture for the first time.

Such stewardship reflects the Great Shepherd’s heart for His sheep and becomes an act of worship. Because you give, families are being changed, and new generations are hearing the gospel in the language of their hearts.

What remains to be done?

Indigenous-led Bible translation is accelerating rapidly. For example, some translation teams, after completing the Bible in their own language, now help neighboring communities begin their projects. This exponential growth toward 3,000+ communities needs support from partner organizations, local Christian communities, and generous believers. Most of all, this growth depends on the Holy Spirit’s strength and guidance.

So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. – Zechariah 4:6, NIV

Supporting Bible translation is a bold act of faith—trusting the Spirit’s power and the Father’s sovereignty.

When you give to The Word for the World, you join a trustworthy mission with eternal impact. We handle your gift with the same care you give it—with purpose and integrity, giving glory to God as we do what He has called us to.

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. – Ephesians 2:10, NIV
